Ministry

"Ministry" is from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning "to serve." We believe that everyone has gifts and talents, and that to use these gifts and talents to serve is the work of God. Ministry is every baptized person's work, not just the work of the ordained clergy. Community is a place in which you can discern your gifts and explore how they would best be expressed in ministry. St. James' provides many small group experiences in which ministry can be talked about, tried out and confirmed.
